Basic principles of mediation

Mediation is voluntary. All parties are committed in principle to fairness and should be respectful to each other. They agree to disclose all legally relevant facts and information and to treat everything confidentially. They should have a flexible outlook during all procedures and negotiations regarding the result.

Both the parties and the mediator have the authority to cancel the procedure at any time.

The goal of mediation is to find a sustainable, future- and needs-based consensus jointly stressing the responsibility of all parties.
